Laura Marie Panozzo has dedicated her life to studying, teaching and creating art. Panozzo spent a decade of time living abroad in Italy and Puerto Rico, as an independent artist and professor of the Arts.

Her abroad experiences have shaped her style and perspective, as well as instilling a deep love for her childhood home of the Indiana Dunes.

Laura studied painting and sculpture at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and continued studies at S.A.C.I. Studio Art Centers International in Florence, Italy. Panozzo resided in the island of Puerto Rico for 4 years studying the art of Santos Sculpture and wood carving while working as a Professor at the El Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico in Santurce.

Her years spent living and working in different countries have given new meaning to the adoration she has for her childhood home of Northwestern Indiana, where she now permanently lives and works. Her focus has evolved into green art.

Eco based art. Sustainable, from the earth. Nature being her favorite material, Panozzo create sculptures and assemblages using reclaimed woods, as well as paintings which depict her series called ” Scared Species” focusing solely on the exotic invasive issues and wildlife from the region. Panozzo partners with local ecological institutions working to save our national lake shore and the dunes of her hometown area. Panozzo teams with rescue-restoration groups, and beach clean-up crews who supply her with special permissions to unblock fallen woods which are causing tributary jams within the rivers and streams that empty out into Lake Michigan. NiSource, NPS, NWI Paddling Association are a few of her current partnerships.

In 2011, Panozzo created Earth Angel Eco Art Studio which is my personal work-space and a community gallery in LaPorte, Indiana. Panozzo teaches classes and workshops as well as offer monthly gallery events showcasing local and international artists at Earth Angel.

In November 2014, Panozzo was chosen by the Lubezink Center for the Arts, as Artist in residence, receiving a grant to build her Bird Sculptures with selected Michigan City Schools. The project is called “Unity Birds” and was made possible by the Tuholski-Oberlie Enviroment and Arts Fund for Youth.

Panozzo is focused on green and reclaimed works of art, from raw pigments on wood panels, paintings, and sculptures made from her Ecological partnership with NiSource, on Lake Michigan.

EAEA Studio specializes in natural, rustic, custom made home decor. Panozzo offers beautiful, original collections of Chandeliers, Custom Mirrors, and hand made salvaged farm tables and well as one of a kind, original sculptures, and paintings.

Panozzo’s focus is on local artists from LaPorte County, Chicago, Michigan, and all other cities within a 250 mile radius. International artists will also make appearances at Earth Angel, through out the year for special events and workshops.
